Jenna Calixto is a flutist and instructor who enjoys performing with various ensembles in the Seattle area. She has appeared with the Bellevue Philharmonic, the Tacoma Symphony, Orchestra Seattle, and the Sammamish Symphony, as well as the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society Orchestra, the Bellevue Opera Orchestra, the Mahler Festival Orchestra, and the Evergreen City Ballet Orchestra. She is a member of the East Texas Symphony in Tyler, Texas, and performs around the country with pianist Karen Ganz as the flute and piano ensemble, The Oasis Duo.
Jenna earned her Master's Degree in Flute Performance from the University of New Mexico after attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, for her Bachelor's Degree. While a student in Albuquerque, she won the UNM Concerto Competition and performed as soloist with the University Symphony Orchestra. Her teachers include Zart Dombourian Eby, Valerie Potter, and Jean Larson. She has performed in master classes with Amy Porter, William Bennett, Jill Felber, Tadeu Coelho, Keith Underwood, Jim Walker, and Bonita Boyd.
